At Advanced Wellness Infusion Centers, we offer personalized, evidence-based infusion treatments to support patients living with Thyroid Eye Disease. Our experienced team is here to provide care that is safe, compassionate and focused on improving quality of life every step of the way.
What is Thyroid Eye Disease?
Thyroid eye disease is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the tissues around the eyes, often in connection with an overactive thyroid (like Graves’ disease). This causes inflammation and swelling behind the eyes, which can lead to symptoms such as bulging eyes, dryness, irritation, double vision, and even eye pain or pressure. In more severe cases, TED can affect eye movement or vision. Though it’s linked to thyroid dysfunction, TED is a separate condition and often requires specialized treatment. With early diagnosis, management options like medication, lifestyle changes, and infusion therapy with biologics can help reduce inflammation, relieve symptoms, and protect long-term eye health.
How is Thyroid Eye Disease Managed Through Infusion Therapy?
Tepezza® (teprotumumab) is the first FDA-approved infusion treatment specifically for thyroid eye disease (TED). It works by targeting and blocking a protein involved in the inflammation and tissue expansion behind the eyes. This helps reduce eye bulging (proptosis), double vision, eye pain, and pressure over time.
Tepezza is typically administered once every three weeks over the course of eight infusions. Many patients begin to see symptom improvement within just a few treatments. At Advanced Wellness Infusion Centers, we provide Tepezza in a calm, clinical environment with experienced staff monitoring your care from start to finish—helping protect your vision and restore comfort and confidence.
Our Therapies for Thyroid Eye Disease

What to Expect at my Thyroid Eye Disease Infusion
Thyroid Eye Disease infusions at Advanced Wellness use a very thin catheter to connect an IV line to one of the patient's veins to infuse the medication. All of our locations have a Nurse Practitioner on site and the patient is monitored continuously throughout treatment for any adverse reactions. Patients can expect the infusion to last anywhere from an hour to two hours. After the IV treatment is complete, the patient is disconnected from the IV by a nurse. During initial treatments, the patient is asked to stay on site for a short time post-treatment for observation.
In each infusion suite, Advanced Wellness provides snacks and beverages as well as streaming devices for comfort throughout the infusion appointment.
Preparing for Your Infusion

Bring a list of current medications you are taking
Wear comfortable clothes
Because some visits may be longer, you may bring books or one visitor. We have light snacks and beverages, blankets and tvs available in our suites
